I am grateful to see advocacy for private schools to serve students with learning needs. Surely we, proclaiming to embrace classical pedagogy, should be at the helm of equipping students with learning needs to surpass societal expectational norms! It is a beautiful transformation inside and out when these students (as with all students) are supported and given the tools to learn and grow. God created each and every one with purposeful intention, and that in turn requires creative and purposeful pedagogy. What the world sees as limitations was God’s specific design, and only becomes a problem for the society mass producing norms – those who will go out into world and function within the defined parameters set in place by the day and time in which they live. Thank God for the Benjamin Franklins and Albert Einsteins of their days!
Thank you for sharing your insight into how different learning styles may reflect an inner gift given by God for His purpose. I agree that professing Christians specializing in education should be most concerned about doing their upmost to see gifts given by God realized in students.
