Live and Virtual
It’s Your Choice.
This year, we plan to hold RTR in person in Frisco (Dallas) Texas, and allow people to join online. We cannot know what the circumstances will be at that time, but we are hopeful that a combination of summer weather, vaccinations, and previous cases will wind down the pandemic by that time. Travel restrictions are already moderating and we’ve recently visited the venue. We hope that our event can be as close to normal as possible.
We have heard from many in our national family of classical Christian educators who are looking forward to this reunion.
Embassy Suites Hotel and Frisco Conference Center is a large venue that will let us spread out. However, by June, we believe that restrictions should be lifted enough that the conference will be conducted in an enjoyable way. If masks are required by the venue at that time, we will ask that attendees wear them (particularly when in the hotel where hotel employees must serve many people). However, we have informed the venue that we do not wish to be the enforcing body. We realize there will be a number of viewpoints held by attendees. Those who do not wish to be near those who choose not to wear masks may want to select our online option.
Our online attendees will be able to attend individually, or as a school. A special free program for parents will be simulcast live on Thursday, June 17. The online conference will have most, but not all, of the content from the in-person event. Namely, we will only provide one track for Leader’s Day, and none of the practicums will be offered online. We will also have some online content that will be only served up live, and not available through our recording package. As usual, those recordings we do make available will be free to members through the MRC after the conference.
